Shrimp Poke

Description
Shrimp Poke is a refreshing and nutritious version of the Hawaiian poke dish. Its base is succulent shrimp, which are usually pre-boiled or steamed and then marinated in a vibrant and zesty sauce. The popular “spicy mayo” sauce (a mix of mayonnaise with a hot sauce, like sriracha) is often used, but variations with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, or lime are also possible. Poke is served on a bed of rice (traditionally sushi rice), to which a variety of fresh vegetables and toppings are added. These can include avocado, cucumbers, carrots, edamame, corn, seaweed (like wakame), as well as crunchy elements like fried onions or sesame seeds. Poke is a flavor constructor that can be adapted to personal preferences
